Do you prefer going to a Theatre or watching movies at Home?

I enjoy going to a theatre, but not living near one means we seldom go.

Watching at home is my answer.

To give you an idea of when I went to a theatre last, the movie playing was “The Lone Ranger” with Johnny Depp. Oh my goodness, I didn’t realize it’s been that long.

What was the last theatre movie you seen?

Which do you enjoy more, movies at a theatre or at home?

Sunrises                         OR                        Sunsets

I love the beauty in both, but my favorite are Sunrises.

As I sit in the living room, coffee in hand, there is something special about witnessing the horizon come alive with color.

Yesterday, when I woke in darkness and waited for my coffee to brew a thought struck me. I wonder if I prefer sunrises because of habit and convenience? My chair faces a south, south-eastern wall of windows so it’s impossible not to notice and admire the brilliant display. Our patio doors and kitchen windows face west, yet I rarely catch the sunsets because they are at my back.

Now I’m curious, and I’m going to make a point of catching the sun setting. Maybe I’ll schedule washing dishes at that time because the view from the sink looks out over a pond.

I better clean windows and have a camera ready, I feel there’s going to be some picture taking done.

Peaceful Country Living       or       City Skylines and Conveniences?

I was city born and raised, but moved and lived most of my life in the country. Looking out at horses grazing in pastures is a sight dear and special to me. Our children grew up with sand in their shoes and dirt under their fingernails, climbing haystacks and exploring bush trails. The grandchildren had experienced the same when they came to visit. The lifestyle choice meant some days ended with being bone tired from chores but the hard work and long hours were worth it.

At times I missed a city’s convenience, being able to walk to a store or restaurant, or having pizza delivered to your door.

Currently, my husband and I live somewhere between rural and city. We hang our hats at a lake and golf resort. With a corner lot, the view of three fairways from our cottage and maybe a two minute walk to the lake we get the open space feel. Like living rural, we still have to drive to the nearest town or city for our supplies but on the other hand we can walk within the resort to visit friends or go to its restaurant for a meal.

Let’s see which is more popular.

My answer is “Rural” country living.

Although part of me still longs to be a city dweller again.
